A. Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) - USD 100/person/day for US Dollar paying tourists. This price will come into effect from 1 September 2023 and shall remain effective for four years till 31 August 2027.

What is SDF?
We, the Bhutanese people, take seriously our responsibilities to each other and our environment. From our reopening on September 23, 2022, we ask each visitor to Bhutan to actively and meaningfully contribute to our kingdom’s preservation and progress.
The Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) enables investment in transformative programs that sustain our cultural traditions, protect our environment, upgrade infrastructure, and build our resilience. Critically, it supports the creation of training, mentorships, and further education to create long-term opportunities for our young people. Your contribution is not only a critical investment but a gesture of belief in our ambitions and our capacity to achieve them. We believe the SDF will create additional value for guests who come to Bhutan rather than an additional cost. Another way of looking at the SDF is a ‘pay it forward’ concept, whereby you will ensure that future visitors to Bhutan will get an as good or even better experience.
Responsibility, transparency, dependability, and trust are at the core of which we are and of our partnership with our visitors. As we build our nation, we strive to be accountable in our dealings and provide clarity on how the SDF will be used.

Luxury trip or trip with 4/5 stars or may be mixture of 3/4/5 stars accommodation can be arranged by paying the price difference.
Note: We have flights from Katmandu, Bangkok, Dhaka, India (Delhi, Kolkata), and Singapore. Paro is our sole international airport. I can/will do the ticketing for the above-mentioned stations, but you have to do the other part, which is from your home/place to either one of the above stations, and return.
Cancellation Policy
For Bhutan trip booked and subsequent cancellation, the following applies:
More than 45 days before the start of the trip, administration fee per traveler.

Within 30-45 days of the start of the trip-15% of the amount

Within 20-30 days of the start of the trip-25 % of the amount

Within 15-20 days of the start of the trip-30% of the amount

Within 7-15 days of the start of the trip-45 % of the amount

Less than 7 days or without notice- 70% of the amount

After arrival in Bhutan -100% of the amount
However, on SDF's part, any complimentary nights issued as part of the SDF incentive will not be refunded.
However, if a guest pays the SDF for four nights (for example) and leaves after staying for three nights, they will be refunded the SDF for one night. If the guest pays the SDF for four nights and initially plans to stay for eight nights but leaves after five nights, they will not be entitled to any refund.
Cancellation of a trip: 100% Refunded minus bank charges.
A USD 200 administration fee will be payable for each traveller for the cancellation.
For Drukair/airlines tickets issued and subsequent cancellation, the following applies:

100% refund permitted for the tickets cancelled more than 30 days from the travel date

50% refund permitted for the tickets cancelled more than 30-10 days from the travel date from the date of travel
-
25% refund permitted for the tickets cancelled prior to 3 days from the travel date from the date of travel

There will also be USD 100 administration fee on each ticket cancelled.

USD 40/equivalent local currency for every flight reschedule less than 72 hours prior to the date of travel
